Southwark and The Rheanna Bowl

Southwark and The Rheanna Bowl

The Rheanna Bowl is a local charity event that is determined to make a difference in the lives of children affected by neurological illness. The event is supporting the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through fundraising and promoting awareness specifically for the Neurology Department here in Edmonton.

Inspiration for The Rheanna Bowl came from an interaction between Karl Sibbons and Rheanna late last fall in Yellowknife. Rheanna was there fulfilling some wishes on her bucket list, and despite having terminal brain cancer and fighting for her life, she was in uplifting spirits. Her story and infectious personality touched Karl’s heart immensely. Wanting to support the Trepanier family, Karl had the idea to honour Rheanna with a fun competition, which came to be ‘The Rheanna Bowl.’

This all-day family friendly event has something for everyone: face painting, axe throwing, a dunk tank, bouncy castle, and food and drinks. The main event, located at the RE/MAX Field (formerly Edmonton Ballpark) will be a tournament style relay race with teams of six (10+) through a fun and crazy inflatable obstacle course. The winning team will claim the first ever spot on The Rheanna Bowl trophy. All the net proceeds will be donated to The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation – Neurology Department.
